Round Dynamics
How fights unfold
Five non-obvious signals pulled from every round of every UFC fight on record. Pace, damage, control, and comebacks.
Sig strikes by round
Average significant strikes landed per fighter per round. Tells you whether output rises, drops, or holds as fights go long.
Most dangerous grapplers
Submission attempts per round, plus the conversion rate from attempts to actual sub wins. Filters out the busy-but-harmless.
| Fighter | Fights | Sub atts | Per round | Conv % |
|---|
Does cage control win you the cards?
Among UFC decisions, the share won by the fighter who logged more ground + clinch strikes (control proxy). Quantifies the 'control bias' in judging.

Lost R1, still won
Fighters who were out-struck in round 1 but won the fight. Minimum 3 such situations — pure adversity adjusters.

The fighters who drag others into fire
When fighter X is in the cage, their opponents' sig-strike rate moves by this much vs. their own career baseline. Positive = X drags fights up in pace.
